I haven’t done this in a while. I’m so busy with so many open windows, professionally and unprofessionally, that boy needs to take a day off from work to get some work done. What does this ultimately mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It means officially taking a day off from work, camping at a counter, and responding to as many work\/non-work emails, texts, and messages as possible. This morning you may find boy camped at Hot Off The Griddle<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to choose HOTG. It’s not only my regular spot these daze, but I also ran into my favorite waitress at the show this past weekend: The Black Jacket Symphony<\/a> performing the entirety of Abbey Road at The <\/a>C<\/a>rest<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

My kinda people. Incredibly kind and optimistic, supporting an adult needing assistance, and a love of music and Vans. I enjoy listening to her stories each year about After<\/a>shock<\/a>, and I feel a kink or two in there too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having sent my email to work telling them today will be a day away, especially given my eyeballs hurt from allergies (and I feel miserable with this cold and rain), I’m gonna start by dropping some responses below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I haven’t done one of these posts in a long time. In fact, I don’t recall doing one of these posts since boy started writing again a few months ago. For the unfamiliar: Don’t think too hard, and merely enjoy the ride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s start with Haiku Boy Knows He’s Doing Alright<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know. I get it. I was fiercely immature, but not without justification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was in the process of throwing up an idea, a scrappy haiku of three songs, with Back Door Man being the first one, but I was interrupted by a text message within an already existing thread about an incredible afternoon at a girl’s house a thousand years ago in Orange, California.<\/p>\n\n\n

I already committed to writing something about that afternoon, but upon oddly getting a text message with the punchline, I thought perhaps that was an opportunity to work that thread into my post, then play off both thread and post for some fun scrappy intersections and epiphanies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But alas, work fucking kicked-in, and I had no time to make it all happen. I ended up leaving her utterly confused, conflating issues and things, with others asking me what the fuck is up with the post with naked women. For fuck’s sake, people. I try – and sometimes a cigar is just a cigar – lol<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know. I get it. I deleted the pics, kept the songs, and fuck the haiku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m setting an alarm on my watch each hour of the day as follows: 8:08AM, 9:09AM, 10:10AM; 11:11AM, 12:12PM, 1:01PM, 2:02PM, 3:03PM, 4:04PM, and 5:05Pm. The purpose is to pause, to be mindful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Correct. I am almost ready to park the cars, and go back to riding on two wheels most of the time. I need the cold and rain to stop. I’m so over it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m also feeling fat and lazy, so getting back up on bikes will be good for getting my ass back in shape. It’s also been six months. No more lazy guy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. I am no longer gonna do a long ride to Key West this year. I have too many trips, and zero certainty about how Spring\/Summer will unfold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have all the batteries on chargers at this moment, but unless the dahlias bloom, as they say, and someone other than me wants to ride, I’m selling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m thinking to let go of all of them, except the CBR1000. I’m not done with sport bikes, and I’ll settle into an old-man Gold Wing for long rides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truth: I’m downsizing. I’m donating and giving away a lot of larger items and things, so I will be portable – more transient – going forward in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicole is definitely moving, and sooner instead of later. We completed the pre-qualification stuff yesterday, and her job options look inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I will not be moving this Spring\/Summer, not making Texas my primary residence, Nicole will be purchasing a house on her own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, I am going through the painful process of obtaining a license to practice law in Texas, which can admittedly take up to a year to complete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would love to do the same in Louisiana, as living in the French Quarter is my dream, but I would need to take the Louisiana Bar Exam. No thanks.<\/p>\n\n\n

Truth: I will be in NOLA in a few weeks, and Nicole and I talked about me looking for a place in\/around the French Quarter for me and my dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicole is definitely thinking a little place in NOLA could be my new Fortress of Solitude, but I’m thinking Texas ain’t that far from NOLA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have friends in NOLA. Lawyer friends who have lived and lawyered in NOLA for generations. Why not call in a lifeline? I know construction law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, I have family and friends that like to ride, and wouldn’t it be nice to have a NOLA hub to connect. Yep – Key West will be Ride One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would love to think more about these things, but by the looks of boxes stacking around me, it seems my current world is simply disappearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for the complements about my voice. I realize how it sounds, how it often uniquely affects people. People used to come up to me after seminars and classes to say how my voice was memorizing – that they could listen to my voice all day. I’ve gotten laid because of my voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I promised someone that I would record my voice reciting a sexy scene. I thought about reciting one of mine, I thought about Googling something from the internet, I thought about ganking something from a romance novel, but I think I’m gonna look for an old Penthouse Forum. Sexy AF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storytime should be the best. A couple should be able to hold, and to touch, and to share a sexy story with each other – while talking through every inconceivable fantasy. You learn so much from someone. Feeling how their body responds, how it quivers when you talk dirty together.<\/p>\n\n\n
