Don’t Dream It, Be It

I’m finding enjoyment in social media. I’m starting to post on Twitter, which has been interesting. This past week, as a lark, I started to live stream records. To date, I’ve live streamed all sorts of music and things: Pink Floyd, Joe Turner, Rolling Stones, Jim Morrison, Temptations, George Carlin, Jimi Hendrix, Rocky Horror Picture Show, to name some.

I’ve also decided to be more open, and to communicate with people. In fact, I did a little something fun, a little something not my norm. After I dunno how long enjoying someone’s posts on Twitter, I decided to reach out – to say thanks – and to show some appreciation. Of course, those that know me, I don’t send things, so I asked for a favorite venue or show.

She chose a performance of Les Misérables at a really cool venue. Now, I’ve been to a million musicals, but I’ve never seen Les Misérables. All of this intrigues me, as it’s one of those shows that’s always been on my list, and the venue is in an area generally known to me (I was there last year). The coincidences are not only cool, but tell me my instincts were correct.

I even signed up for Facebook, again. Sigh. I dunno why so many bands and groups post on fucking Facebook; but they do, which will always inevitably suck me back into signing up for Facebook, again. Sigh. This time, however, I have zero friends, and absolutely zero fucks to give, and I’m thinking to keep it that way. I don’t wanna know. Ignorance is bliss.
