I have such a musical crush on May Erlewine. I haven’t had a musical crush on a girl this bad since my musical crush on Abigail Washburn.
I’m totally enamored, watching May play, thinking how wonderful our life is gonna be together in Big Rapids, Michigan. Yep – I’m twitterpated.
All joking aside, I had an opportunity to watch May Erlewine perform in Reno and Sacramento this past week, and May was undeniably amazing.
Reno was at The Virgil, and May played with The Wildwoods. I loved the venue and show, but I left wanting more May and less Wildwoods.
Sacramento was perfect. The show was all May, only May, in that cute little theater upstairs at The Sofia. There was even a piano for her to play.
I was up front, May acknowledged me when playing ‘Shine On’ (she forgot to play it for me in Reno), and I grabbed a few clips for YouTube.

This all reminds me of that time I was fixated with Christine McVie (born Christine Perfect) singing ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ with Chicken Shack.
