The Kerrville flooding hits home. I knew Nicole was okay, as she’s not in that particular area; but I was thinking about Courtney, who is in that general area – and I spent some time in Kerrville during my Big Ride (i.e., the 11,000 mile ride around the circumference of the Unites States).

Kerrville is one of those more memorable places because of the terrain, which is very different from the rest of Texas. In fact, I camped a couple of nights in Kerrville, and I remember specifically talking to a guy about how a lot of people send their kids to summer camps around Kerrville.

I remember taking rides around the area, and I definitely remember riding down along the river, which was beautiful. I don’t think I took any ride videos, as I recall the rides being curvy with lots of surprises. Totally fun – but not so good for filming at that time. Here’ s some from camp.
